KIT, Hivos, and Oxfam Novib also participate in "Gender in value chains", which is a learning network of Agri-ProFocus. It aims to increase the gender sensitivity of value chain oriented sustainable rural economic development programmes.

The Community on Gender Equity in Certified Chains is a platform for sharing experiences & lessons learned among participants of workshops that took place in Latin America, Africa, and Asia from 2009 to 2011.

 

This portal provides free access to selected full-text documents on Gender Equity in Certified Chains with a focus on coffee, tea, and cocoa.

The area Social Development and Gender Equity of KIT develops and implements approaches that promote the rights, inclusion and participation of marginalized social groups, particularly women, in the development process. These approaches are developed through collaborative action research undertaken with partners in Southern countries. See also our project database.
